Next we will try to explain in a simple way how to calculate the m2 to install a wall covering in any room, as we did with laminate flooring in this article. We are thinking that we want to change, decorate, print character to our space in our home and for this we have thought of starting by placing a wall covering or commonly called frieze.
Once we have chosen the design and the location, we ask ourselves how many m2 we need to cover our entire wall, and therefore how many packages we have to take in order not to exceed in quantity and of course not to fall short in the installation.
The first thing to take into account is to measure in length and width each of the rectangular spaces where we are going to install our decorative wall covering or frieze.
We multiply each “rectangle” length x width in meters and also multiply as many spaces or “rectangles” as we plan to cover; thus obtaining the total m2 we need of decorative wall covering or frieze. Approximately 10% must be added to this amount, due to cutting waste, etc.
With the total amount of square meters needed, we go to a professional establishment and we check the useful square meters of each decorative wall covering or frieze pack.
